Supplies & Wish Lists

This year students will use only personal supplies.  I also recommend keeping an extra bag, or 'art kit' of art supplies at home, just in case we transfer to fully remote learning. If we switch to virtual learning, students will continue to receive instruction and will need basic supplies at home.

Classroom supply case

Your child will likely keep a plastic supply box in their classroom.  COVID-related precautions require students to use only personal supplies.  To begin the year they will need a box of 24 crayons and a pencil or two.  I recommend Ticonderoga brand pencils because the tip withholds a lot of pressure and rarely breaks.  A personal pencil sharpener might also be handy, but isn't necessary.  We will build up and add more items as the year progresses.

At Home Art Kit

It would be helpful to create a basic 'Art Kit' to keep at home for virtual lessons. In this bag, you can keep a set of markers (broad tip and/or fine tip), a watercolor set, a black permanent marker - (only for 2nd - 4th graders), (broad tip is preferred but fine tip is okay, too), a small bottle of Elmer's glue, and a set of colored pencils.

Sketchpads

All students will given a sketchpad.  They are learning to transfer mental images onto paper, quickly sketch new ideas, plan composition arrangements, and respond to art inquiries.  Students are learning to care for and respect their art belongings.
